For the Nuit Blanche in Paris, I occupied two rooms in the show windows of Hotel Amour. The first room showed the video of my performance “Micro-Event n°14 /Future Bride Likes to Paint” (2002). In the video, I was the bride in a wedding dress trying to paint in a show window of a shop selling materials for painting. In the second room, I presented the new performance titled “Flower Bed”, which paid tribute to the famous artist Yayoi Kusama and her work “My Flower Bed” (1962). I tried to sleep on a bed covered with hundreds of fresh gerberas, listening to electronic lullabies composed for this performance by the musical band “Hypo & EDH”. Feelings of joy and enchantment – but also of fear, solitude and insomnia – were mingled.
